About Us
Divers Down
Divers Down is a operated by Kody Schrum who serves as the sole instructor for your underwater needs. Kody is originally from the Midwest and grew as an adventure seeker. Joining the military right out of high school, Kody traveled around and was exposed to many different cultures and learned a lot about people. His primary job is in emergency services. Finding a passion for teaching through his primary job and a passion for scuba diving, he chose to put the two together and form this company to expose people to a new world underwater.
Mission
Divers Down takes a more personalized approach to training to allow more focus on each student. This approach tends to allow the instructor to work out the details in each diver and make them a more confident and skilled diver. There will be a heavy emphasis on buoyancy, trim and propulsion techniques as these are things that separate the good divers and better divers. Another positive side to this approach is the flexibility for scheduling a class. It’s easy to find a time that works for you and we can make it happen.

Pool Only
This certification course is designed to give students the necessary skills to conduct open water dives in conditions similar to their training without the direct supervision of an instructor. Course includes some time in the pool as well as two days at a open water dive site to conduct 4 open water dives.

This certification course is designed to give students the necessary skills to conduct open water dives in conditions similar to their training without the direct supervision of an instructor. The purpose of this course is to give the diver an overview of 5 different specialties, 2 core, and 3 additional SDI Specialties. The two core specialties are SDI Deep and Navigation. One dive, from each of the specialties, may apply toward a complete specialty certification.

The rescue certification course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills for an individual to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and administer necessary first aid. Must be an Advanced Adventure Diver or Open Water Diver with proof of at least 15 logged dives.

The SDI Master Scuba Diver Development Program was created to make true master divers. The SDI Master Scuba Diver Development program requires a new open water diver to complete 4 SDI, TDI or ERDI Specialties (or equivalent), the SDI Rescue Diver Course (or equivalent), and logged 50 dives. SDI believes a diver will be a true master scuba diver after this is accomplished.
- Specialty course pricing starts at $200 and goes up to $440 for some classes.
